Is it illegal to vote while wearing anything endorsing a candidate?

I’ve noticed in some places I voted the judges won’t do a thing proactively but if you complain, they always take action.

So you might get by parking your car with the bumber sticker too close, but if someone complained you’d be asked to move your car.

I have, in Chicago, where I vote, overheard judges ask people to cover up their coat over a button or to remove a hat, proactively.

Do you really need your clothes to say something when each party has an identifying color? Would someone object if you went to vote dressed in red from head to toe, socks and hat? Riding an elephant? Costumed as a donkey? Driving a blue car?
