# Is it inappropriate to use the f-word when you miss a 3-foot putt playing with a mixed foursome?

-1. I think “you need to expand your repertoire” is a stupid argument, frequently trotted out by religious people who need ass-stickectomies (not saying this is what **Arrendajo** is - the people who I’ve heard saying this in real life all were, though).

If you think being “honest about your emotions” is a demonstration of respect, then you are wrong. It’s really, really not.

The appropriateness of swearing depends on the circumstances and the company.
