# Is it me, or has the SDMB hit a lull lately?

I feel like over the past two months or so, the Dope hasn’t really had the usual concentration of new threads. Or perhaps the newest threads don’t include topics of interest to me? I don’t know. Does anyone feel the same?

I think it’s just that the topics aren’t interesting to you. I’ve hit the same thing on occasion, and the numbers seem to be the same, frequency-wise. The Dope just isn’t as entertaining sometimes. Neither is anything else.

Osama bin La…Ah, fuck! I knew we shouldn’t have zilched that guy. Now we have to find a whole new boogieman.
w.r.t. the o.p., I’ve been of somewhat the same opinion. I returned after a several month hiatus specifically in response to a request to address some technical thread, but despite browsing through new threads four or five times a week I find little that is of interest, and much that doesn’t rise above the level of inane jabber and petty bickering, even in threads that have are initiated as a question resolved by a factual answer.

I feel the same way. It seems like the new threads don’t get much interest but the old ones running 9 plus pages are still at the top of the list. I think the end of the election has a lot to do with it. No more interesting “What if there is a tie in the EC; What if Obama dies before the EC meets; Can Bill Clinton be VP; etc”
Those were the threads I liked, but are gone now…
