Its my view of grunting as communication. If you wish to ascribe that to women in general, look to your own point of view, not to mine. ---

Grunting is not limited to noises made by pigs. I still assert grunting can be used to communicate whether to indicate hunger as in my example or for various other purposes as demonstrated by Tim Allen in the tv show Home Improvement. If you wish to contest that point by all means do so. It is much preferable to likening women to pigs. ---

TL;DR (wait, that’s the OPs cop-out) Perhaps Tim Allen was playing a character who was acting like a pig; perhaps not. Perhaps people who grunt like pigs can be called pigs, gender not withstanding. I was attempting to be annoying by supporting my point that even grunting cn be a form of communication? Could it just be that you and the Count are being nitpicky dicks for nothing but the sheer sake of being weakly disagreeable? If do you have nothing better to do with yourselves I’d happily make some recommendations for entertainment like beating off with shoe polish or counting grains of rice in a bag of Uncle Ben’s. ---

OK, OK, you win! Be it resolved that from this point onward, the poster known as **Penny** may only communicate on the SDMB by monosyllabic grunts and simple hand gestures. All other posters who do not correctly interpret and/or completely understand said communications will be deemed of below average intelligence and may not debate their vagueness or arbitrarity but must respond in kind with the appropriate grunts and hand gestures. Can I get a seconder? ---
