Is it OK to avoid fruit as long as you eat vegetables?

To be fair to apples, that’s still enough vitamin C to prevent scurvy.

A homicidal maniac came after you with a bunch of loganberries, eh?

I’ve been doing the low carb thing for over a year now and have pretty much cut traditional fruits (among many other things) from my diet. I eat lottsa veggies and a ton of nuts and a couple avocados a week to sort of make up for the oranges, apples and bananas I used to enjoy. My BMI is right in that Normal range and some goofs say I look good but blech. Anyhow, the point is that it certainly can be done. I’m a believer.

all this information is great.

personally, I have been using fruit since I stopped using sugar, as a kind of ‘step down’. I cant wait to start eating the way the lady posted (sorry, I didn’t get your name before I started writing this) - the yeast free eating, with veggies instead of fruit; so I have ordered, in my next food shop, green apples, carrots, cucumber, celery and broccoli and plenty Brussels sprouts. for some reason, I never had the idea to eat veg as I eat fruit - that is, selected from a bowl, uncooked (not the sprouts!) I cant wait to start doing this, as I know it will clear my body even more and give me health and weight loss.

thank you for all this info here.
