Occasionally there will be a post about some animal getting killed, accidentally or on purpose or something like that. I never read them but sometimes I wish I didn’t have to keep seeing the thread title every time. Can you hide/ignore a thread without having to ignore the thread starter? ---

It looks like his signature, because there’s a line above it. But as mentioned upthread, it’s about blocking users, not hiding threads. I know exactly where the OP is coming from, there’s a thread about a kitten being killed and I’m not very good at handling that sort of thing. ---

One would think a moderator would check that posters have “view signatures” on before snarking at someone for finding a post unclear. Also, it does help if you want to share links to put them IN your post rather than just assuming everyone has signatures turned on. ---

(Makes mental note: Do NOT piss off \*\*Sierra Indigo \*\*this morning!) Anyone else with signatures off read **GWR’s** post then go on a click-hunt? I went so far as to hit the quote button to see if there was VB code. I ended up smirking a bit, thinking it was a joke on both parts– **CiB!** posted an invisible link, then **GWR** came in and pulled an Emperor’s New Link joke. I thought it was particularly apropos given given that it used to be _ **Invisible** _ Wombat. (Or did it use to be Invincible Wombat? Note to self: drink more coffee before posting.) ---

People, we’re in ATMB, not the Pit – dial back the insults and the snark, please. As I hope is clear to people now, there is a Firefox add-on, available through a link in **Bees** ’s sig, which enables you to “hide” people and threads, unlike the site’s “ignore” feature. This isn’t available through the current board software, and, AFAIK, isn’t in the works. **twickster** , moderator ---
