Right now the only option is to mouse over the avatars and look for the one furthest on the left. Is there any way to show who started certain threads on the page so we don’t have to do that? Having been here a while I know there are certain people whose threads are going to have lots of good info and others whose threads will probably be trainwrecks, and it would be easier to tell by having their names posted next to the thread w/o scrolling over all the avatars to find out who started each one.

Seconded.

Not a deal-breaker for me — there have been a couple times when I was reluctant to open a thread because of who started it …and when I finally did, I was a happily surprised. So, occasionally it’s a plus to avoid one’s biases, by seeing only the thread title.

But I still like your suggestion.

If you use Sam’s Simple Theme, it includes the name of the OP on the list of threads.

I’m using Sam’s Simple. On a phone, at least, I only see avatars (not names) in the list of threads within a forum. On my page with all the forums and the first three threads in each, I don’t even see avatars. (Maybe just as well).

Oh yes, you are right. On my phone I don’t see the OP names. Well, that’s annoying.
