Yesterday I noticed that my Adam’s apple is sore and it hurts when I touch it. This has never happened to me in my life. Some of the other muscles around the throat also feel sore. The _inside_ of the throat does _not_ feel sore; there is no pain when I swallow. It’s all in the muscles.

A few days ago I was moving some very heavy stuff and I was straining quite a bit. Additionally, the day after that, I had terrible allergies and was sneezing a lot, blowing my nose very forcefully, etc. And I feel that may have also contributed to the muscle pain.

Have I “pulled” the muscles in my throat? What can I do to make them heal faster?
