Quentin Tarantino’s SUNSET BLVD- now that would be a helluva movie.
Norma Desmond (Pam Grier) was the queen of blaxploitation. Now she haunts her mansion (having invested early in Intel and John Singleton films) planning her comeback: THE RETURN OF THE CHOCOLATE GODDESS with her bald butler Max (Ving Rhames). Into this lair falls Joe Gillis (George Clooney), a heroin dealer posing as a screenwriter, who agrees to read her screenplay and offer pointers on the real life heroin biz the Chocolate Goddess destroys in the plot. When the script is ready, Max delivers it to Spike Lee, whose new secretary (Uma Thurman) falls for him. Things reach fever pitch when Norma feels rejected and unleashes a thirty minute Ninja fight sequence that restores Greg Evigan and Lorenzo Lamas to the realm of pop culture relevancy.
Richard Roundtree, Lola Falana, Demond Wilson & Bernadette Stanis have cameos as the Waxworks.
