Probably would have made a good sword swallower. Some people just have (or discover) how to relax the supposedly “involuntary” esophageal muscles in the right order! Amazing, really.
Severe pain can cause vomiting without nausea. When I’ve had to go to the ER due to severe migraine, I always had vomiting with the migraine, but did not feel nauseated. Sometimes that’s just the body’s reaction to pain.
I frequently have nausea as a symptom of the migraine (that usually doesn’t result in vomiting, but occasionally does.), but it’s a completely different feeling than vomiting from the pain.
