Control gravity, ala Ender’s Game? I need to teach possible (or not) methods of controlling gravity the way they do in the Battle Rooms, and _Google_ turns up nothing but kooks. Help!!!

I’m no physicist, but my gut instinct tells me that gravity is a product of mass, and that you can’t have gravity without mass.

Now, you can do some convincing impersonations of gravity with acceleration. In fact, there’s really no difference.

But straight out artificial gravity? I don’t think so.

It’s not artificial gravity as much as it is… lack of gravity where there should be some. The Battle Rooms are located in the centre of the station, but they’d still have to be attached, thus, they need a method to eliminate gravity.
