# Is it time for a hip replacement?

Good choice, and best of luck. I posted **[here](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/my-son-just-had-hip-replacement-surgery/1022324)** about my son having hip replacement surgery at a relatively young age, and it was the anterior approach, which as you indicated is less invasive and leads to faster recovery than the posterior method.
