Baseball is by far the sport with the most potential for crazy eleventh-hour surprises. SO it’s quite comparable to American politics.

Baseball’s also a sport in which you have to finish off your opponent and earn the win: you can’t get a big lead and just run out the clock. There’s the first 7 innings of the game, and then you have to turn the game over to your closers to finish it, and that’s probably where we’re at now. Biden’s got the lead. He’s given up a few hits here and there, but hasn’t given given up any grand slams yet. It’s crunch time now, though.
