I know there are rather-white-appearing quite-Native-American people because I’m married to one. I asked my resident Mohawk and he agreed with the majority of this thread, “eh, I don’t have a problem with it”. But his status as husband takes precedence over his ethnicity, so I questioned his conclusion and asked the internet for its opinion.
I still think it’s weird. Not offensive, just weird.
No weirder than the random Eskimo face on the tail of every Alaska Airlines plane.
No more weird that shirts with random images of people of any other race, such as Boris Vallejo art, which will be random white people.
A white guy would have a Yorkshire terrier, a bologna sandwich, a cardigan sweater, and a croquet mallet floating around behind him.
I saw a t-shirt that had Che wearing a Che t-shirt. That was cool.
