> You probably are out of touch 😉 but not about Jack Black. Gulliver’s Travels only made $41 million and was more or less a bust.

Yeah, it made $41 million domestically.

And an additional $150 million internationally.

> Personally, I can take him or leave him. But the numbers don’t lie. _Gulliver’s Travels, Year One, Nacho Libre, Orange County, School of Rock_ - movies with Black in the lead role - have all made a profit. There is an audience out there for his movies. As far as I can tell, _The Pick of Destiny_ is the only movie where he’s been the lead that has failed to make a profit - and that was one where I feel he was actually stretching himself.

Year One cost $60 million to make and grossed $63 million, so while it _technically_ made a profit, Columbia would probably have banked more in interest by not making the movie at all.

And a lot of people would have been better off not seeing it.

The best part was when the guy peed on himself. That can’t be a good sign.

> It means making back your budget still means the film lost money. Making back double your budget means you broke even. Making back triple means you made a profit.

Ok, I think you quoted the wrong post. What you said has nothing to do with what I said. I’m not asking for further clarification; I’m telling you we aren’t even on the same topic. It’s fine, though. Carry on.

Nacho Libre was kind of funny.

Don’t hurt me…

I’m with ascenray, though. His brand of retard makes me laugh, unlike Sandler, whom I loathe. Probably helps that I think Tenacious D is brilliant.
