Wow, when I see what now constitutes rape in Dopers’ eyes, I can only sigh at the nasty soup of what puritanism and badly digested feminism cooked together amount to. I truly hope that Sweden has an above 4 years old take on rape, and dismisses the charges. ---

(Although in point of fact, the convoluted situation with the warrants is one of my concerns about this case. Like not having rape as it would be defined by an old maid but as what it really is (I still dont know what constitutes rape in Sweden, and it seems most dopers here think that it should follow exactly the rules as they are in the US; fortunately the world outisde of the USA is not the USA). I just didnt know that when you were charged, you were automatically prosecuted, the Revolution must have happened while I was sleeping… ---

**Sablicious** , he’s alleged to have forced women to continue having sex with them after they withdrew consent. If that’s true, I don’t see how he isn’t a rapist. ---

If that’s what he did, it’s rape. I still find the timing of these allegations extremely convenient and suspicious, though. Also extremely difficult to falisfy unless there is video. ---

No question - I’m not making any comments on whether Assange himself is a rapist. I don’t think any of us can possibly know that. However, the situation as described would be rape, and I find it amazing that thinking so can be described as “the nasty soup of what puritanism and badly digested feminism cooked together.” ---
