# IS Julian Castro as Hillary Running Mate a Done Deal?

Even if he wasn’t ‘qualified’ for Stanford, who cares, and how does that matter for any evaluation of him today? How is that relevant to his later success in law school and his achievements professionally and in politics?

AA only means that doors that would have stayed closed to you, but open to others for no defensible reason, are opened to you as well. You still have to walk through them yourself.

I’m with you on this. Being mayor of San Antonio is a long way from being President, and being HUD Secretary hardly fills the gap. Hell, half the posters in this thread could probably be better HUD secretaries than some of the people who’ve filled that office.

And due to Hillary’s age, I want her to have a VP who is ready to step in on January 21, 2017 if need be.
