I’d say that if the result of him failing to make it into the Oval Office is that she leaves him and has a messy divorce accusing him of abusing and raping her, and the media attention on that into a line of Melania Perfume and whatnot, turning herself into a trademark, then it would be a pretty good indication that she’s a smart one. If she stays with him, then she’s probably not all that (after his failed Presidential bid would be a good time to use all of the attention she’d get to protect herself against any threats he might throw her way - and she’s got to know she has a shelf life, so it’s better to get out while the chips are on her side). If she uses it to become a news commentator, then she’s probably just average. ---

I thought the rickroll was both intentional and hilarious. The pussy bow seems more an act of defiance, but also done knowingly. I don’t think Melania spends her time drooling in a corner until they drag her out for campaign appearances. After the election, I hope she takes her well deserved payout and goes her merry way. ---

Ok, I was skeptical at first, but now I think it’s official. She’s trolling everyone. She just threatened to sue People magazine over the article in which one of their reporters claims Donald once sexually assaulted her during an interview. But she’s not suing over that claim, or even disputing it. She’s threatening to sue them because the article implied that the reporter and Melania had once been friends. I’m beginning to think the entire Trump campaign was a plot to jump start Melania’s career as a surreal Kaufmanesque comic. I now expect the highlight of the final debate to be the moment when Trump peels of a mask to reveal Bob Zmuda. I don’t think it is any coincidence that Melanie wore all bright pink, with a blouse that has a puffy bow that hangs down like a labia, called a pussy bow blouse. She is in the fashion industry and knows the fashion people watch what the Trumps wear with a critical eye, and report which label it is and put price tags on it. So she would have known the fashion people that critique what they wear would get the joke. ---

I’m bumping this thread to note that Melania’s speech today emphasized the toxic nature of cyber bullying, which is sort of her husband’s thing. I would be greatly pleased if she divorced him in the midst of his rape trial. No public statement; just a wink as a team of lawyers surround her.
