This is incorrect, either through your misreading or more likely through my unclear language. I was trying to express a situation where every visit to every luxury hotel would not NECESSARILY lead to a new TV series, but some would, and he could (I posited) deduct the expenses from all of them because he had no way of knowing in advance which ones would prove fruitful. They were all “research” and a future TV series would arise every few years from White’s many travels throughout the world, creating millions in taxable revenue eventually, though not on the IRS timetable. I don’t think I meant to suggest that he would travel endlessly with no intention of ever filming another series.
