You may also come across teens using “DTF”, as in “Are you DTF”. Apparently it means “Doing the Facebook”. ---

God, how old am I? I asked the lil’wrekker, she confirmed it means come over and have sex. She also added in her dorm, saying ‘Come to my room and have ramen’ means were gonna need privacy. Me and her are having an eye opening discussion, right.this.minute. ---

This all begs a couple of questions… first, why the Yoof of today, when sexual mores are more relaxed than they’ve been possibly since ever, feel the need for a euphemism quite so coy and inscrutable as “Netflix and chill” Secondly, what do they say when they actually just want to watch a movie? ---

Yes, I totally thought “Netflix and chill” meant…movies and nothing in particular. Why must people make language such a minefield? Just like how it took me years to discover that the term “birthday suit” doesn’t, actually, mean a birthday outfit. ---
