Is Obama all that different from other Presidents?

It would be nice to get a reply though. This forum is called “Great Debates” but for a lot of posters it’s “Great Debates To Run Away From.”

This isn’t true.

But even if it was, and it may be for some specific cases, that’s the beauty of a 2-party system. If the “other side” gets elected just have them do it instead. Good cop, bad cop.

"The PPACA passed the Senate on December 24, 2009, by a filibuster-proof vote of 60–39 with all Democrats and one Independent voting for, and all Republicans voting against. It passed the House of Representatives on March 21, 2010, by a vote of 219–212, with 178 Republicans and 34 Democrats voting against the bill.[4] "

You might be thinking of the Bush tax cuts which were passed by reconciliation in the senate. They also used the 10 year sunset to get around the PAYGO rules.

They didn’t get primariedd but the liberal democrats didn’t show up on election day.

The swing in the mid term election wasn’t the result of swing voters switching to the republican side of things, it was the result of lots of Republicans coming out to vote and not so many Democrats coming out to vote.

On THIS BOARD Obama does not receive anywhere near the hatred that Bush received. But to be fair, Bush probably got mroe hate than Obama in general.

Not everyone that hates Obama hates him because he is a racist but a lot of them do. The tea party has some racist elements and the birthers are rife with racists

You guys must be getting tired correcting Susanan on facts (not principles or theory btu facts)?
