He’s actually pretty funny. Davidson just has that self-deprecating laid back slacker schtick that just makes it look so effortless you think that if he can do it, you or one of your idiot friends from high school could do it too. ---

I’ll take that literally just to move the thread along… I mean, I wouldn’t go so far as to call him ugly, but at the same time, he’s not Rege-Jean Page or George Clooney or anyone like that. I guess he’s a strange sort of charming- that’s sort of where I was going with the endearing part. He’s got something about his personality that’s interesting/charming/attractive to good looking celebrity women. My guess is that he’s not about the fame and being the center of attention, and that’s likely unusual for a comedian/performer. How many guys that Kate Beckinsale dates are either uninterested in her fame, or uninterested in their own fame? I imagine that sort of attitude combined with interest skates pretty close to her thinking he likes her for her own sake, not for everything else. I don’t have anything to back that up, other than that just seems to be the way he is, and I could see that being his actual private persona as well. And I’m probably stretching pretty hard to second-guess how people think as well, so take that with a big grain of salt. He’s also clearly quite intelligent, even though he seems to downplay it in his public persona. ---

Their point was these women seem to like being with a guy that is comfortable going to the Met Gala but also just treats them as normal people when no one else around them does. For the most part _King of Staten Island_ was a good movie. My biggest criticism is more of an Apatow problem than a Davidson problem. There was no ending. I also enjoyed seeing cameos by a bunch of NYC comics that most people probably wouldn’t recognize. ---

Pete Davidson says in one interview that he’s only dated 10 women in 12 years. According to other sources, nine of them are Carly Aquilino, Cazzie David, Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale, Margaret Qualley, Kaia Gerber, Phoebe Dynevor, Kim Kardashian, and Emily Ratajkowski. Is that a lot for a male between the ages of 17 and 29, considering that he was starring in a television show at the age of 20? ---

I’d give his new series ‘Bupkis’ a try but I think it’s on a streaming channel we don’t have. And an amusing anecdote RE: his well endowment: I believe it was Ariana Grande who first shared this news to the world. Pete was asked about it, possibly on one of his Weekend Update appearances, and he said, “it’s not _ **that** _ big- she just has small hands”. ---

Trying to come up with criteria for what satisfies _your_ subjective preferences and wondering why your tastes aren’t shared by literally everybody else in the world is a mug’s game. Several reasons were given above and not all penis related. But somehow that’s not good enough? Different strokes for different folks. Some people like pineapple on their pizza, after all. ---

He’s dated Natasha Lyonne, Abby Elliot, Elisabeth Moss, Petra Haden, Martha Plimpton, Sally Timms, and Carrie Brownstein. It sounds to me that any SNL cast member who doesn’t care about remaining faithful over a long period to one partner can date a lot of moderately famous, moderately beautiful people.
