Isn’t “killing” the company spokescharacter considered jumping the shark in PR terms? Seems like a desperate call for attention to me. ---

Well we got our answer during the Super Bowl: he was reborn as “Baby Nut”. Whether they use Baby Nut in place of Mr. Peanut in all advertising and packaging going forward remains to be seen. ---
