Is raclette as awesome as it sounds?

Raclette is OK, but I prefer someone else simply make me some overcooked tartiflette. I like it overcooked so the cheese is crispy and the potatoes are really well done. Best if onions are involved. It’s basically raclette in a crock pot and cooked by someone else.

If you like tartiflette, taste truffade is you have the occasion. Pratically the same thing except there’s no onions, it’s a different kind of cheese than for tartiflette, and the cheese and potatoes are slowly stirred together for a long time.

OH! These sound wonderful.
I ate raclette as often as I could when I was in Switzerland, and loved it. It was scraped off of the large wheel of raclette cheese as it bubbled and browned, and I loved it. I’ve never had it since.

Just put raclette loc: Manhattan, NY into Google and a few places came up. Swizz Manhattanlooks very good. We travel to the city for fun on a monthly basis, should be there soon and will report back~

(of course, open to other suggestions as well.)
