“Wayne’s World” did wonders for the popularity of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” which was a huge hit when it came out but had kind of died off even on classic radio by 1991; being long, it’s not super friendly for radio, and it’s an odd song that didn’t really fit the musical tastes of the early 90s. “Wayne’s World” absolutely made it a huge smash again and cemented in popular culture. Then 25 years go by, and maybe it needed a jolt in popularity, and along comes… ---

I don’t think knowing that this financial disclosure was publicly accessible really counts as “the most basic of financial regulations”. He was dumb to tweet that and start a shitstorm without checking first but still… ---

No it wasn’t a shit argument. The guy made a shitload as a hedge fund manager. It’s perfectly reasonable to think he’s a wart on humanity. But thinking he only made money because he fell ass backwards into good managers and assistants is goddamn idiotic, especially when it’s based on Sherrerd’s oh so objective verbiage analysis. ---

This is not the only reason someone in his position can make a shit-ton of money. He also has to be a sociopathic bastard, who does not give two shits if his decisions will destroy someone - as long as he makes money. Someone who would sell orphans and nuns to a dogfood plant, as long as he makes money. Someone who would toss his grandma under a bus, and make her take the blame for the dogfood containing orphans and nuns - as long as he gets away with it and it makes him money. In general terms, these are usually the kind of people who make a shit-ton of money as hedge fund managers. In general, these are not very nice people, or even people who have basic human qualities. ---

I’d be perfectly willing to presume that he has/had properties such as aggression, persistence, a lack of morals, or whatever else that aided him in business. But the “rich people are smart” argument has a shining counterexample in the white house, and your “you must be stupid because you’re not as rich as him” corollary is demonstrative of incredible ignorance AND bullshit. But your ability to exude shit aside, I don’t believe Scaramucci is an idiot just because he’s able to post blatant lies that play well to Trump’s idiot followers.
