He was probably charming and eloquent while starting out in business, you don’t get far without some semblance of that, but for some people once they get ‘fuck you’ money, they simply do not care anymore. That could be the reason. And coke too of course. Overall a poor choice for spokesman. ---

Really, this guy came out guns blazing directly at Preibus. His instructions were to immediately accuse Preibus of leaking the first thing that showed up, and he did. Whether it was a stupidly premature accusation or a cocaine-fueled gambit doesn’t ultimately matter. It shows clearly that the President wants around him only sycophants working for him personally, not “allies” working for the country. Some quotes from that drug-addled interview suggest the deleted tweets were a purposeful attack, but to me the real story is the excessive and uncomfortable lavishing of compliments on the Trmup he loves SOOOO much. Nothing-but-net freethrows? Prefect spirals through a tire? More Presidential than all other presidentials combined? It’s just so weird. ---

IMHO it’s most likely that Scaramucci is saying the truth in claiming he thought the discussion was off the record. Not that he had a valid basis for thinking so, but that he thought so anyway. He is new to this business. Whether that means he should have been hired as communications director with that resume is another question. But the impression you get - from him, anyway - is that the title itself is meaningless and that he’s really just another all-purpose hanger-arounder whose influence and power are solely derived from having Trump’s ear. Sort of like Bannon, Kushner, and any number of other guys. (I get the sense that that’s how Trump ran his private businesses.) From my perspective, the only positive thing about the Trump administration (other than it not being the Clinton administration) is that it’s been about the most entertaining administration in memory. Sort of like watching a horror movie, only it’s real. ---
