# Is Search broken?

I’ve tried to search dozens of times since yesterday evening and it always comes up with “server hangup” and doesn’t return anything (searching from multiple devices from multiple places.)

Now, Google is a decent way to search for a specific, long-ago thread, but the board search is still good for an overview of recent threads.

I’ve been getting, “you must wait 120 seconds btwn searches, try again in 117 seconds”. Then if I go back and try again immediately it works fine. Firefox, iPad.

I used to get that all the time as well and it was fairly annoying because it then made me wait the full 120 seconds even when it didn’t successfully return a search. But then, after it made me wait, the second time it usually returned successfully. Now it hasn’t returned anything in a day. IE and Chrome from two different computers.

I just did a search. It took a long time, but eventually worked.
