And no man wants to be… er, accused of that…
Most of those are only “contributers,” not hosts. Alan Colmes was technically a “co-host,” but his real job was to be a lapdog and a punching bag for Hannity and guests.
If you’ve seen Greta’s show lately, you’ll see that she’s veered right into the same wingnut territory as Hannity. Geraldo sane? I’m not sure about that.
Beckel and Ellis are a couple of frequent “contributers,” who actually offer some degree of strong opposition, but they’re never allowed on balanced panels, and don’t get free reign to say very much.
Mara Liasson and Juan Williams offer pretty tepid resistance to the crazy even if they aren’t crazy themselves.
So I’ll go ahaead and stick with my opinion that Shepard Smith – or at least his show – at least appears to me to be the only oasis of sanity on a network otherwise dominated by right wing demagogues. I don’t really think seeing Bob Beckel doing a five minute segment on Hannity’ show against Hannity plus two other conservatives really qualifies as an “oasis.” More like getting splashed witha Dixie cup.
