Yes, but he was only the mom because Patrick didn’t wear shirts and therefore couldn’t be the mom. (according to Spongebob logic) 🙂 Patrick, he’s perfect…big, dumb and star-shaped…_sigh_ ---

Maybe there used to be something between Squidward and Squilliam, but Spongebob is all mammalian. He totally wants to get some tail off of Sandy. It was Patrick who didn’t know she was a girl. ---

I love spongebob. I too own quite a bit of Merchandise (wall clock,jammie pants, and pillow) Frankly, I dont care if he’s gay I love him anyway. Did you ever see the one were he gets his boat drivers license? I love that one ---

Hard to imagine a guy with a name like **Squarepants** would be gay. Sounds more like something people would call Orrin Hatch when he wasn’t around. ---

I love Spongebob and watch it with my 7 and 9 year old sons frequently. Even the 3 year old likes it. Gay? I don’t think he’s reached that (the sexual) stage of development. More like pre-pubescent, I would think, absent any of those early-warning feelings that some people seem to have at very young ages: “Hmmm. She looks good in a bikini. What’s making those interesting bumps on her chest?” (Or, the gay version: “Look at those nice muscles on his chest and his pretty legs. I love it when he gives me a hug”.) Actually, I hope this discussion stays under wraps, because SpongeBob’s sexuality–homo or hetero or uni or a-, as the case may be–would probably scare the bejesus out of any network considering airing the show and would also probably lose 80% of its audience, which has no interest in or even understanding of sexuality and its many MAN-ifestations. ---

No, spongebob is NOT gay… in fact, he dosn’t have asexuality. I don’t think sponges can have sex… Though that would be interesting to watch…😉 ---

Please note…this is NOT any kind of slam on **beagledave** for starting this thread…I don’t think he is exhibiting any kind of prejudice or anything. Okay? But I have been bemused by all the threads about which cartoon characters are gay, which are the MOST gay, who IS gay and who ISN’T gay…I just don’t GET it. First of all, why is it a concern? Second of all, these are CARTOON CHARACTERS…not REAL people. Of course, it doesn’t matter whether anyone who is a real person is gay or not either, but that is another issue. But…sheesh…these aren’t even REAL! So… Well, as I said, I JUST DON"T GET IT…maybe someone could enlighten me? PS…I know this thread is “Just In Fun” and I am not being a twit here…it just brought to mind all the press and so forth concerning this issue, and I just wondered why anyone cares? ```auto All I want is some PANTS!"
