# Is Supergirl doomed to a life of only oral sex?

Alas, I don’t think anyone uses the “force field” any more. Too bad, as the Byrne reboot was one of the few really great things Byrne ever did.

(As opposed to his jaw-droppingly offensive treatment of Wonder Woman when he tore her away from William Messner-Loebs.)

But to give Byrne credit again, his Star Trek limited series, “Leonard McCoy: Frontier Doctor” was brilliant. Just absolutely sheerest genius. Byrne is quirky! You never know what you’ll get, other than that it will be really great…or dog-poop. Nothing in the middle with that guy!

He did great things. Terrible things, yes, but great.
