The need to be so sure seems to poison the exploration of the possibilities. If God is then it seems certain such an existence is beyond our current ability to comprehend. There’s nothing all that wrong with having traditions and a set of beliefs as long as we don’t mistake them for real knowledge. We should understand that they are transitional and not cling to them to tightly. It also bothers me that religion too often focuses on a salvation that promises some next life reward. I just keep working on them to refine my own thinking and hoping that one day something will seep into their consciousness, perhaps to be reinforced later. ---
