Is The Borgias any good?

I really didn’t - I was looking forward to the 4th season and Katerina Sforza’s downfall. But with Micheletto’s departure, at least a third of the reason to watch the show is gone.

I suspect he would’ve been back if the show had gotten another season. While the show’s pretty fast and loose with history, the characters have followed the general track of their real-life counterparts, and Micheletto stayed with Caesere until after the death of Pope Alexander.

Apologies. It is sad news. I haven’t looked at the previews but perhaps the fate of the spider of Forli can still be told in the finale.

Fantastic episode and finale. Am I twisted if I call that a “happy ending”? And I just realized the double entendre. Nice to see Micheletto again too.

I really liked it too, but I kind of wish they had edited out the final sequence with Alfonso, Lucrezia and Cesare once they realized this would be the series finale. Added too many loose ends right at the final scene.

Ruh? I’m sorry for being thick but I don’t understand. At first I though maybe Lucrezia had also killed herself, but then given what Cesare said, I figured I was mistaken.

I meant it was clearly setting up some conflict for next season - Lucrezia now thinks Cesare murdered her husband. Which he was going to do, but didn’t actually do, and certainly didn’t want to get caught by Lucrezia.

BTW, the entire primogeniture scene between Alexander & Cesare was brilliant. Really well done I thought.

Ah. Yeah, that looked like it was resolved a bit too neatly and hastily. And while that fireside scene was great, what was the purpose of including it except to fill space? That’s the only thing I can imagine. They must have known they were on the bubble so they had some extra scenes they could cut in to give some resolution if they got canceled, but they couldn’t really tie everything together. But that scene really did stick out.
