Is the drone program a war crime?

How would you feel if someone repeatedly bombed the USA, killing thousands of innocents, under the guise of stopping the KKK and cherry picked the worst incidents of white supremacism whenever anyone spoke against it? Not everyone in Syria is inherently evil.

This has been asked and answered. Repeatedly. You keep returning the exact same flawed analogy, and you are obviously not reading our responses.

Why would people be bombing the US over that? Do you even understand why the US (and others) are dropping bombs in Syria?? Do you comprehend that we aren’t doing so because we feel that ‘everyone in Syria is inherently evil’? Seriously, this has already been addressed in this thread and you keep trotting it out. Are you actually reading anything anyone is writing, and more importantly…do you understand what they are saying? I’m not asking if you agree, since obviously you don’t, but you don’t see to even understand either the responses or the situation very well.

I reject this statement. The drone program was credited with crippling Al-Qaeda leadership.Cite American air power is also putting ISIS on the ropes. Cite

Peaceful diplomacy. Rebuild and improve syria so people don’t have to resort to terrorism. Remember the Marshall Plan after WW2? We need another one.

Um…wow. :smack: Yeah, why didn’t we think of that?? :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t want to hijack this too much, but I just have to ask – do you think we ought to be helping Assad against the non-Al Qaeda, non-ISIL opposition? And does Assad’s use of bombing and artillery against purely civilian targets give you any pause as to whether we should give him billions of dollars to institute a Marshall Plan for Syria?

Oh my fucking God :smack:

You do realize the Marshall Plan was implemented AFTER we bombed the shit out of Germany, right? And AFTER Nazi Germany was overthrown, at the cost literally millions of human lives? And you DO realize what happened when people tried the whole “peaceful diplomacy” thing with Hitler, right?

I mean, do you not get that we have been giving countries like Iraq and Afghanistan literally billions of dollars to improve their economies and infrastructure, and it has made absolutely no difference?

You don’t seem to understand that peaceful diplomacy has completely and repeatedly failed to solve the problem of Islamic terrorism. Nor do you seem to understand that Syria and Northwest Iraq are still engaged in a tremendous war. Never mind the fact that by bombing ISIL, we are helping the legitimate government of Iraq regain control of their own territory… Which is a necessary precondition BEFORE a reconstruction plan can begin.

Improve targeting and intelligence: sure.

Execute pilots for murder: a weird and extreme idea that can’t possibly happen, and wouldn’t help in any way.
