> I think any WR wants to be the go-to guy, so it’s going to attract alpha dogs. But most defenses can just about shut down a receiver all game if they choose to, so it’s probably a little frustrating being the #1 receiver on a team because even though you’re the best, you end up having to work harder than everyone just to get your touches. And while he’s busting his ass to get open against someone like Darrelle Revis or facing constant double teams, the TEs and slot guys are getting their stats much easier.

Yea…you have to have an attitude of ‘I’m taking up 2 defenders to cover me and I’m STILL going to burn you once or twice this game’ attitude. However, the position attracts individualists that are stat whores…and being double teamed will frustrate them.

I was a WR in High School. Not bad either for small town rural area. However, I got a ‘rep’ with the local schools and was constantly double teamed all season with one of them being their best DB. I didn’t get great stats but I still would usually make a really good gain a couple times and constantly took up 2 defenders. My coach was ecstatic about that.

Moss? He’d be pissed off all to hell.

The next big one will probably be DeSean Jackson. Once Jackson gets paid… watch out.
