According that BBC link, the rate of water loss is so low in the current era that it would take trillions of years to lose our oceans if the rate remained the same. Of course, once the Earth heats up in a billion years, the rate of loss will change significantly.
This is the kind of boomeresque short-range thinking that got us where we are today!
