newbie here too… but not new to expressing opinions. UBB is easy enough to learn, the work day is long enough to give some proper attention to writing responses.
Just gotta say, kid gloves or full out “Lemme tear your theory a new corollary” debates, the Great Debate is the place for me. “All is shades of grey” or some such line, Robert Browning, and I can’t remember the name of the poem. its the one about the renaissance painter. OH yeah Andrea Del Sarto

Another almost ex-pounder here! Mostly lurking to get the feel of the place and the posters, I mean the clique! 
I did post an opinion like the OP asked for and got so attacked for it I thought I was back in LBBB-land! So whoever said “clique” above, was right-on. Oddly, I would have thought a board like this would be open to opinions, but instead, they reacted as to an atheist comment in LBBB-land. Why? What am I missing?
