# Is the SDMB related to City-Data ?

Is the SDMB related to City-Data forums ? Just saying there are a lot of similarities. Both are based in Chicago and both have the same quote feature. Even the emoticons are similar…😉

vBulletin is one of the major message board software vendors out there - lots of boards look similar if they use it.

It’s the same software we use, vBulletin. This style is the system default.

vBulletin is pretty popular. Otherwise, no other connection at all.
