There has been a lot of ‘art’ that has used vulgarity to make a point. Serrano’s ‘Piss Christ’ comes immediately to mind. In fact, it’s common enough that I’d say it’s a established artistic theme.

Has anybody said, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” yet? No? Okay, I’ll say it.

Definition of art: Something that helps me live.
SPBLU? Art.
Because I said so.

So then, by your definition, food, water, and oxygen are art too?

My cases for South Park:BL&U = Art…

[ul][li]The whole Terrance & Philip spoofing South Park spoofing itself thing was masterful.[/li][li]The reprise of “Kyle’s Mom is a Bitch,” complete with three-part harmonies and the added ‘international’ verse, deserved the Oscar nod.[/li][li]Tons of social commentary: Kids & the Internet, censorship, the state of parenting in America, etc.[/li][li]The ability to get a movie that depicts Saddam Hussein taunting Satan with a dildo past the MPAA with an “R” rating intact is an art form in and of itself.[/ul][/li]
I hope Parker & Stone make more movies. That is, I hope they make more South Park movies and no more live action pics like “Baseketball.”
