# Is the Texas Chainsaw Massacre based on a real incident?

The original “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” film was made in Texas.

And it had a chainsaw in it.

😃

When I was in high school, the houses they filmed the movie in were still around, too. Had them pointed out to me as “the place where the Texas Chainsaw Massacre actually happened…”

Everytime Ed Gein gets mentioned I have to bring up The Ziggens’ song about him:
