How they have _always_ been willing to give up on that prosperity if it meant _"those_ people" would suffer. How they will turn even on their own family if that family member is one of “them”, or fails to support their crusade of hate for hate’s sake. ---

What I’m saying is that not everyone is totally on board with say… Trans rights. Like everything, there’s a spectrum of opinions and feelings on the subject. The failure of the Democratic party is to draw a stark line in the sand further left than what will win elections, and then refuse to compromise. It’s morally great, but politically ineffective. If they’re going to be the big-tent party to oppose the far-right they need room in the tent for people who don’t necessarily agree with pretty much any aspect of the party platform. Pulling as far left as the Republicans are pulling right is the wrong strategy IMO. All that does is force the middle to choose, and when people are forced like that, they’re more likely to choose the status quot and easy and familiar over change and potential difficulty. ---

What I’m saying is that if a political party draws the line and is say… pro Trans participation in women’s sports (to take a topic still up for debate around here) and calls it hate, they’re potentially alienating a bunch of prospective voters who might be on board with everything trans short of that. Its the same as questioning affirmative action - if you accuse people who do so as being racist, you’re going to alienate a lot of potential voters who aren’t racist but who disagree on how to remed/mitigate the situation. ---

If DJT/MAGA follow through with the threats to (attempt to) toss pardons so they can prosecute enemies, then this will be where we get to pretty quickly. Prosecuting/arresting Pelosi, Hillary or Joe Biden will be the sign we have reached this point. Unlikely Orange Foolius will try this? Yes, but not impossible. ---

Yeah. I’m not sure the hate of Hillary still carries the same weight with the MAGAts. Pelosi and AOC, yes. Harris and Biden, also yes. I expect some efforts to prosecute them for made up reasons. Most cult members are too brain dead to remember people like Cheney, Schiff, Kinzinger and Smith plus the pardon thing will complicate retribution for those people. But hey, I don’t doubt any evil actions won’t be tried. ---

I remember quite a bit of “Lock him up” after Trump was found guilty. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If were gonna be totally over the edge about the state of affairs we gotta take our lumps too. I still think the media did this to us. They have their constitutional rights, for sure, and I would never disavow them of that. I hope their lack/or losing of viewership will naturally solve this. But I’m very mad about this. They pushed Trump right down the throats of people like baby birds being fed. Not just Fox. CNN had Trumps face onscreen so much. His name coming from their mouths. Over and over and over. Sickening. Now we are on to every word he says and nit-picking it to death. I will not watch. Ever again. If the space aliens land, ya’ll send me a PM. Plz. ---
