So **fetus** quoted himself. Interesting thing is I am not really sure what he means by ‘offensive’.

While it is true that many Chinese do have lactose intolerance it doesn’t stop them from eating ice cream. This thread, [Do they have ice cream in China?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=392040) indicates that there is far from universal scorn for dairy products in China.
