> Many women swear they have one, but a new review of 60 years of sex research shows science still can’t definitively find the G-spot.
>
> Researchers have used surveys, imaging scans and biopsies of women, all trying to locate and define the presumably orgasmic area on the vaginal wall known as the G-spot. Based on a review of 96 published studies, an Israeli and American research team came to one conclusion.

> “Without a doubt, a discreet anatomic entity called the G-spot does not exist,” said Dr. Amichai Kilchevsky, a urology resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, and lead author of the review, published Jan. 12 in the Journal of Sexual Medicine.

The experts have spoken. Let’s do our own field study.

Of course it’s discreet, that’s why it hides itself away inside the woman.

It’s discrete. Discrete!! Stupid illiterate reporters.

I didn’t think it existed until a little over three years ago when I met my (now) husband. But I can tell you, without a shadow of a doubt, there IS a G-Spot and it is _wonderful_.
I admit though, I can’t find it on my own, and I was 27 years old before my husband found it. But it only took him one try.
Probably TMI. Point is, I know it exists.

Why would trying to find an anatomical structure mean anything, anyways? The way to see if it existed would be to simply test women and see if stimulating certain spots made their orgasms better.

In other words, it’s called a G-spot, not a G-organ.

A certain woman I had sex with would swear she had a G-spot, and seeing and feeling her orgasm consistently from straight-forward PIV sex once or twice in the time I finished made me a believer. Luckily, the tip of my thoroughly-average-sized penis would rub her just right on the inside. No need for clitoral stimulation, although that was plenty of fun, too.

Like “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre”, some things are just worth searching for, even if they seem mythical.
…and you should expect a certain amount of craziness to ensue once you’ve found it.

Maybe not, but on the other hand [the clitoris is huge](http://mosex.wordpress.com/2011/11/30/the-internal-clitoris/) (and [mostly inside](http://io9.com/5876335/until-2009-the-human-clitoris-was-an-absolute-mystery))!

I always thought of the G-spot as another name for the area at the _back_ of the clitoris, reachable from inside the vagina. Yes, according to my partners’ squeals, it does exist.

The clitoris isn’t just the nubby bit under the hood. Internally, the clitoris extends large “wings” of tissue called crura (singular: crus) filled with nerve endings. IMHO, the “G-spot” is the stimulation of these crura. If you can stimulate both medial aspects at once, perhaps by causing the erectile tissue of the clitoral bulbs to rub them, it feels like an amazing sensation coming from right between them. Which just happens to be about 2" up the anterior wall of the vagina, for most women. So I think the “G-spot” really is not an anatomical spot, but neither is it imaginary. It’s the neural sensation, a wonderful illusion, that there’s a spot.

Many people, when getting a foot massage, get a distinct feeling between a toe and the one next to it that doesn’t exist. That is, they feel like they have six toes, and it can even be a bit frustrating that the spot they \*feel \*isn’t getting touched, as the other spots are. Nerves, like cats, is weird.

Some women’s internal clitorises are deeper, and perhaps the crura differ a bit in shape or position. Also, if my hypothesis is correct, the size, shape and relative engorgement of the spongy tissue between the vagina might be expected to contribute to ease or difficulty of “finding the G-Spot”. This might account for some of why some woman/partner combos can find her precise spot, and other dyads can’t.

I mean, really…have you seen [this picture](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clitoral_crura)? It’s pretty wonderful.

It exists, but not as a female version of the prostate. Rather it’s an area where deep parts of the clitoris may be able to be indirectly stimulated in many women.
