Dammit. i spent 10 minutes signing up at [roommates.com](http://roommates.com) and now they wont let me talk to anyone unless i spend $15 a month on membership. What crap. So is there anywhere else i can look for roommates? so far i have
classified in the city and school papers
the bulletin boards in the commons area in college
anywhere else? like anywhere on the internet preferably?

Hmm. I though you were looking for roommates that weren’t charged with a felony or something.

is there an internet website that doesn’t charge a fee where i can look for roommates?

In my area, there is a real estate company that manages a lot of apartment complexes that keeps a roommate registry. In the unlikely event you’re in NC, the company is Drucker & Falk. I’m not sure if they have it online or not, but there might be something similar in your area.
The best luck I ever had finding roommates was posting flyers on a college campus. That way I could be real specific on what I wanted and what I had to offer, and didn’t wind up talking with a whole lot of incompatible people.

Try [Craig’s List](http://www.craigslist.org) to see if they have a group in your area.
