I like the size of the Ballantine paperbacks of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings trilogy and Silmarillion. But they’re beat to hell. I would like a more durable hardcover version that I can re-read again and again. Since so many editions of these books have come out, I wonder: Does a small-format (around 5 x 7") hardcover version of these books exist? ---

They exist, but I have not seen them for a while. They were printed in the 70s with the same cover as the 70s paperback. I only ever saw them in Libraries. Jim ---

Thanks for the sleuthing folks. The quest goes on…
