What with being a huge fan, and my middle name being Anne and my B-day being Dec. 25th. There’s a million songs about Carol. ---

Cliff Richard had ‘Goodbye Sam, hello Samantha,’ but the better one is ‘Samantha’ from High Society. I don’t know of any poems, but it wouldn’t surprise me, even given that the name’s quite a new one. ---

I am, apparently, a fine girl. Yes, they tried to play this at my wedding. I had to remind them that in the song she gets left because his life, his lover, his lady is the sea. I’d rather not hear about a man leaving a woman with my name at my wedding reception, thanks. I do like the song even though many folks think they’re clever and unique and sing for me as if _no one else_ ever did so. ---

This song was the bane of my existence as a child. Now I think it’s kind of [c-c-c-cute](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4EMhfPAUcBc&feature=related). Everyone sang it to me. It was awful. Johnny Cash had a fun [song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDYnojuz0sw) with my name. And [Ben Folds Five](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7K_mF-aKSY&feature=related). My favourite is actually “Katie’s Been Gone” by The Band, but sadly, there is not one version on the internet I would want to share with someone hearing it for the first time. ☹ Now I want to make a playlist with just songs with my name. I don’t have one, to my knowledge. Or at least not a mainstream one. Which is a little odd, because Bradley lends itself to rhymed with various adverbs. sadly, madly, gladly. But then, I’d guess there are a lot fewer songs about men’s names in general than there are about ladies. ---
