# Is there a way to track a stolen Ipod 4G?

My daughters IPOD was stolen today, does anyone know of a way it can be tracked down? I’ve looked online, and I get conflicting information.

AFAIK, you need a Mobile Me account, and have Find my iPod enabled. [Here’s the Apple page on it.](http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/features/find-my-ipodtouch.html) I don’t have an iPod, but instead an iPhone, and the procedure looks the same.

If she has, the program will show you exactly where it is on a map.
