I need to know the easiest way to search the archives. I have a paper due on internet culture and need a way to find a thread I was part of last year as a reference. Anyone? ---

For future reference, if you know or suspect that the thread you’re looking for was in Threadspotting (as that one was), then you can look for it in the [Threadspotting archive](http://straightdope.com/mailbag/threadspotting.html) (for recent ones, check the archive of [recently-added material](http://www.straightdope.com/columns/)). Once you’re on the page, use your browser’s find feature (usually control-f, or command-f on a Mac) to find the one you’re looking for. This is on a separate server than the board, so it’s generally faster. ---
