I thought you weren’t standing with him.
I have personal knowledge of an employer that took a middle ground: they told the employee he couldn’t park in the company parking lot as long as his car had a particular bumper sticker.
This petition is explicity Christian, and therefore may not be exactly what you are looking for, but it is taking the side of A&E in this debate.
I’ll hunt Black Whooping Swans with him using Sarin, pressure-cooker-bombs and the remains of 9/11 victims!
Fuck, I’ll comb out his beard while listening to a (grossly uninformed) bible talk.
But what he says is ignorant, vapid nonsense. And I would like it known that while some “Stand With Stüüpitt,” others do not.
Is that clear enough!?
Signed and signed!
You’re as likely to get an answer to your specific question here as in GQ, and a new thread is very likely to be sidetracked anyway unless it is heavily moderated. I don’t see an advantage in opening a new thread.
(Anyway, OP seems to have gotten what he wants. See Posts #23 and #25 above.)
On the subject of Free Speech vs. Free Speech, the ACLU has a slogan they are fond of reciting: When Free Speech is the problem, the solution is More Free Speech.
Whil you do that, do some Bible=quoting of your own: 1 Corinthians 11:14 - Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
Upon reflection, I think you are right. I did find one petition, as Senegoid pointed out. It wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for, but I guess I’ll have to take what I can get.
How about a paraphrase?
Matthew 7:3
3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is [up] thy brother’s [ass], but considerest not the beam that is [up] thine own?
Yes. But you might want to write your own petition, because most of the people “standing with him” seem to disagree with his position and merely support his right to hold and say it.
That’s not the way I read it: LINK.
I stand… corrected.
Since when is there such a thing as a “faith-driven consumer”?
The Spirit of the Lord hath moved me to buy a quart of milk, a dozen eggs, a box of Gentle Glide Deodorant Tampons, four frozen pizzas (they’re on sale HALLELUJAH!) a box of Mallomars, and $10 cash back so I can swing by the liquor store to grab a 24-pack of Schlitz Lite Ice. Amen.
In addition to the various religiously-motivated boycotts, there is such a thing as socially responsible investing which can be, but doesn’t have to be, driven by religious beliefs.
I’ve viewed your link, and they do NOT offer deodorant tampons. I believe you will go to hell.
