# Is there any evidence that guns prevent tyranny?

Talking about the Soviet Union, I seem to remember that Lee Harvey Oswald’s diary, which became an exhibit for the Warren Commision, spoke of his membership in a “hunting club”. Presumably they did not use rocks and clubs.
