Is there any movie we ALL would agree is good (if not great)?

Agree! My kids liked watching it with me when they were little. To this day, whenever something amazing happens, we sing to each other, “double-yoo…”

I know full well I’m in a minority, as many people adore this movie, but it’s never done anything for me. I saw it when it was originally released and I’ve tried rewatching it over the years to see if my opinion has changed, most recently about 5 years ago. To me, it’s more FRANTIC than FUNNY.

We all have different senses of humor. It just doesn’t appeal to mine. I think “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” is hilarious, but I know people who hate it.

Stanley Kramer was a great producer/director, and made several of my favorite dramatic movies, “High Noon,” “The Caine Mutiny” and “On the Beach” among them, but much like Stephen Spielberg, he had no flair for comedy.

Ditto. I’d heard it was considered a classic, so I attempted to watch it a year or two ago… couldn’t make it an hour through it, unfunny and extremely silly.

Having only watched it alone on a small screen, I suspect IAMMMMW works better in a theater packed with appreciative viewers. (Particularly the final scene, which IMO doesn’t really work without audience laughter to accompany the guffawing main characters.)
